2012. Finally.

Just noticed my last post was wishing everyone a happy 2011. A year has gone by. 2011 sucked. Royally. I am glad it is over. Time to move forward, get involved in new things and continue to do creative, solid work. Thank for hanging in there and I look forward to moving ahead together. I miss you Mom and I will continue to make you proud. I love you.

Happy New Year

Happy 2011! I wanted to thank you all of my clients for a wonderful 2010. I look forward to being ultra creative with you in 2011. You are all amazing and I can’t wait to succeed together.

I’m pleased to announce the redesign, re-architecture, rebuild, and realignment of flush. Quick overview: TimeTime (start to finish): approx. 15hrs. Apps I useFireworks (a must), Coda, WordPress (of course), pick axe, and a large rock. HardwareHosted by HostGator (love.. use coupon code THANKSFLUSH to save some dough), designed and built using a Mac and an Atari 2600. FrameworkThis site utilized the amazing Genesis framework by my friends over at StudioPress. ThemeCustom-made. I always build/tweak my own. I have a series of functions that I wrote that I can’t live without. TypographyOut with the old standard web-fonts, I am now fully [...]

iPad

I am now writing blog posts via my brand new iPad. Honestly, I have looked into this when it launched but now after having one, it is better than I thought it would be. Although it does exactly what a laptop or net book does, it is so not that. Its much better, more fun, lighter, and easier to handle. So now, I am able to blog and write in bed on this when my kids and my wife aren’t using it. Remarkable on how far we have come.

New Addition

I proudly announce the birth of my third daughter, and future president, Grace Joelle Fisher. Grace was born at 9:09 pm and weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. She is absolutely beautiful and perfect and we are truly blessed.

Whatcha want?

Flush is my little pet project that I tend to tweak / re-design / modify often. It’s sort of like a testing ground and a promotional vehicle at the same time.

Goodbye, Good boy.

Today I said goodbye to my best friend. Given to me as a gift the summer before my Senior year of college, Foster, named after the Australian beer, changed my life. Because of my him I met girls when I was single, made friends when I was lonely, made me laugh when I was down, and most importantly, he helped me meet my wife. Although I think the hidden biscuits in her pocket helped seal that deal. Smart move. A few interesting stats about our relationship: He lived 13 happy years, which is 91 in human years We lived in [...]

It’s in the cards

Recently, I needed some quick business cards to hand out at a networking event. So, I went to good ol’ moo.com and made some. Quick and easy, but I put some thinking into them to make them a little more useful for me. The result? Using their Business Cards product (Note: I hate the minis, but I don’t love the odd Business Card size that much either) , I created unique backs that utilize my logo. Alone, they make an interesting graphic element, together they form like Vultron to create my logo. Let me know what you think. Eventually I [...]

Testing the browsers

Online users have many different options in which they choose to view a web page. There are numerous browser types, versions, screen resolutions, gamma, user preferences, settings, etc. that can drastically effect how a web site renders.

Historical Event 1.20.09

Today, we witnessed history.   For the past 20 years I have experienced Bush, Clinton, and another Bush as our Presidents. Today, it’s new day, a new dawn. A new regime.   It was amazing watching the people, the masses take over D.C. and all over the world support our new President.   For my kids, to have their first-President elected in their lifetime, be the first black President in U.S. history is truly amazing.   Congrats Barack.

Launched.
